1st Tuesday of the month in the Seminar Room on Ward 3B, time 7:30pm

MORNING
TEA
3B Morning teas are held in the Parent Retreat Watch this space for future dates or contact Sue Bradbury via email at suebradbury@iinet.net.au
The morning teas were started 10years ago
by a group of parents from the Kids Cancer Support Group
who realized that parents whose children were currently
on treatment would benefit from the support of other parents
who had previously had children on 3B.
The concept has gone from strength to strength with the
morning teas now an important part of the K.C.S.G.’s support
system. The most rewarding part is meeting the newly diagnosed
families (of course we wish there weren't any)
Listening to their disbelief of diagnosis and their fears
for the future.As past parents we can give them support
and understanding as only another parent can and more importantly
a glimpse of the future which is lost in those early days.
The morning teas at the moment are organized and held by
Pat Thorne,Jeannie Bowler and Sue Bradbury all members of
the K.C.S.G.
We do not offer medical advice but we do know how to listen
and we provide tissues when needed and yummy cakes which
can help to cure almost any problem! We are not paid by
the hospital or any other organization but we do adhere
to the policy of confidentiality. Please come in to the
parents lounge and join us on the second and third Tuesday
of the month

A
small group of South West parents has started meeting in
Bunbury for morning tea about once a month. If you are interested
in joining us or just want to make contact with some other
3B families down south please contact :
