What's NEW for Ward 3B
Over the next few months there will be some exciting changes to the outdoor areas of 3B.
It was decided that this year the money raised from the 2009 Trek will go towards transforming the outdoors in to much more useable areas for the adolescents and the younger children.
A Landscape Architect has been employed and is working closely with the Ward Manager and various other staff members to achieve the best results for the patients and their families.
The adolescents have also had a lot of input in to what they would like in their own special outdoor area which will be a combination of a activity area and a very grown up 'Chill Out Zone'.
The younger children haven't been forgotten as their area will be fantasy land of large murals with special effects lighting for when the sun goes down as well as a safe and specially designed playground.
The final plans are about to be approved and signed off and as soon as they are we will put them on to this page and on Ward 3B for everyone to share this exciting journey.
